CASA A.M.

Residential
Livorno, Toscana, Italia – 2018

An open, rarefied vessel, free and open to all possible and continuous reinterpretations. The interconnected spaces serve different functions: the living area, study, and kitchen reflect and merge with the outdoors, where large windows frame scenic views and striking sunsets. The project embraces a simplicity of form yet radical in its choice of materials: the brilliance of crystal light and the solid, substantial quality of stone. The redesign of this apartment overlooking Livorno’s waterfront creates ethereal spaces, where clean, recurring lines interact with light and shadows to emphasize the transparency of glass and the materiality of wood.
