Nexiar, in joint venture with emirates BD & S Middle East Engineering Consulting, has been awarded to review and detail the project of the New Animals Conservation Facility in Deleikha – Abu Dhabi (UAE).
The project is managed by the Abu Dhabi General Services “Musanada”, a public joint stock company that provide support services to government entities.
The Facility is part of the scimitar-hornex oryx reintroduction programme, managed by the Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi (EAD), as per inspiration by the late Sheikh Zayed’s legacy and efforts to protect endangered species and sustain them in their natural habitat.
The Reintroduction Programme was initiated on behalf of the UAE government in close collaboration with the Government of Chad, the local implementing partner, the Sahara Conservation Fund (SCF) and international partners such as the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute (SCBI), the Zoological Society of London, the Fossil Rim Wildlife Center and the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland (www.ead.ae).
DB & S, local engineering firm, provides consultancy services about architecture, structural engineering, interior design and MEP, while Nexiar has been entitled for the landscape package.
Along with BD & S’s Eng. Ayman El Sawy as project director and Eng. Yara Sajer as project manager, Nexiar’s Arch. Andrea Cini (PMP) has been appointed as design manager and Prof. Arch. Massimiliano Martino as landscape lead designer.
The whole international team, headquartered in BD & S local offices, had carry out all the design stages from inception to completion, reviewing and detailing the previous projects developed by international consulting firms and companies, providing also the details for the tendering stage.
